Kid's Film and Fun Program

The Northern California Natural History Museum and the Chico State Student Chapter of the National Science Teachers Association are hosting the interactive event "Animals and their Environment." The workshop includes hands-on activities designed to educate attendees about their relationship to the natural world.

Happy Feet: Dance, Hop, and Jump Your Way to a Smaller Carbon Footprint
Saturday, March 1 from 10:00a.m. to 12:30p.m.
BMU 210, CSU, Chico

This event includes activities designed to educate families on ways to reduce their environment impact and carbon footprint. The Warner Bros. movie, Happy Feet, will be shown followed by dance instruction and a group dance with music by local musicians. Step counters will be distributed as a tool for promoting physical activity and local food will be provided with a discussion of the term, "food miles." Sponsored by the Center for Nutrition and Activity Promotion and the CSU, Chico Nutrition and Food Sciences Association.

Videomaker Magazine holds various three-day workshops throughout the year on basic video production, documentary production, and DVD authoring. Nature Sounds Society Audio Workshop

The Chico Women's Club presents the Bioneers Video Series starting Thursday, Febrary 28 and continuing each Thursday through March 20 at the Chico Women's Club. The speaker series will be shown from 7:00p.m. – 9:00p.m. and a $2 donation is suggested. Greendance Film Festival will feature the first speakers series on February 28 on local food revolutions highlighting Judy Wicks, Michael Pollan, and Winona LaDuke.
